This resource is based on major retailers such as John Lewis choosing to locate to Stratford City and seeking ways of recruiting local people.

Young people analyse a retail PowerPoint presentation, given to London Borough of Newham Regeneration and Development, and produce a presentation of employee attitudes, behaviours and values in the retail sector.

There is an evaluation exercise that aims to challenge young peoples' perceptions of retail so that they can make informed career choices about major employers, such as John Lewis, locating within Stratford City.

The resource is suitable for KS4 Business Studies, with emphasis on employee rights and responsibilities, as well as PSHE and IAG.
