Work Experience Placement
Aims & Objectives
- To raise student awareness of the recruitment processes and the world of work
- To help students prepare effectively for the world of work
- To offer hands-on experience of the world of work
- To help students develop their communication and inter-personal skills in the context of work
- To develop all skills and qualities needed for the world of work.
Description of Activity
During their year 10 or sometimes year 11, all of the borough’s students
are given the opportunity to go on a two week Work Experience Placement. NEBP
Trident will provide each and every one of this enormous amount of students
with a suitable place to gain their work experience.
To make sure everything starts off right, NEBP Trident provides the necessary
health and safety checks and gives help and instructions to the employers.
To make sure the students are well prepared and know what to do while on their
placement they are provided with a “Work Experience Diary”, which
is used as a reference, guide and evaluation booklet.
NEBP Trident’s staff currently successfully matches students with suitable
placements. But to modernise the Work Experience Placements, we are working
towards a system where students have access to a database of employers, so
they can find, and apply for, a suitable Work Experience Placement themselves.
What we Need
NEBP Trident is always looking to expand their database of companies that are willing to provide Work Experience Places. We are looking for businesses and organisations in all kind of fields. Are you a business or organisation that can offer such a place or you know of such a business or organisation, please do contact us.
