Crossrail is a new company that was established to promote and develop vital rail links to meet the needs of people and businesses throughout the South East, and to ensure that London continues in its role as the Europe's leading financial and business centre.
The plan is to construct two new rail lines, the first linking East and West London and the second linking North-East and South-West London.
