Industrial Visits for Students
Aims & Objectives
Industrial Visits aid teachers in the delivery of the school curriculum and
can help students fulfil certain curriculum requirements. They are especially
relevant to students studying for 14-19 Diploma Courses. They also provide
a unique opportunity for students to gain an insight into a working environment
and can count towards schools achieving their work related learning objectives.
Description of Activity
- Objectives and requirements for student visit negotiated and agreed with
NEBP and school - NEBP recruits business and finalises visit with teachers and school staff
- NEBP sends confirmation letter to school
- Students participate in their Industrial visit, usually a half day
- Following completion of visit, evaluation forms sent to NEBP
