Mock Interviews
Aims & Objectives
- To raise student awareness of interview skills / techniques
- To help students in the preparation of CVs and letters of application
- To help students prepare effectively for an interview
- To enable students to experience an interview with an employer
Description of Activity
This can be a half/whole day event depending on the number of student candidates. Students receive one-to-one interviews with a business volunteer. Normally students will be able to select from one of the jobs advertised in the Mock Interview pack. Each interview lasts about 20 minutes and includes 5 minutes for the interviewer to write up student feedback forms and 5 minutes for immediate verbal feedback.
