Regeneration Tour
Aims & Objectives
To educate students, their parents and carers and school staff about their local environment , while making them aware of future opportunities created by the extensive regeneration programme in Newham. From learning about developments in Canary Wharf, to the plans for the Olympic Village in 2012, participants are made aware of the history and future of their local environment.
Description of Activity
Objectives and requirements for Regeneration Tour negotioated and agreed by NEBP and school. NEBP sends a letter to the school and arranges transport. Possible locations: stratford City, ExCeL Centre, London City Airport, Thames Barrier Park, the Royal Docks Canning Town, Silvertown Quays, the Olympic Viewing Point and Tate & Lyle. Following completion of visit, evaluation forms sent to NEBP.
